Our Servant-Leaders

"And He is the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything He might have preeminence." (Colossians 1:18)

The Historic St. Paul Church in Washington, DC is blessed to have multiple servant-leaders who are committed to operating in the five-fold ministry anointing Jesus Christ provides for His church (see Ephesians 4:11).  Under the headship of Jesus Christ, the under-shepherd leadership of Apostle and Pastor Bernie Dorsey, as well as the tireless work of Evangelist Melissa Johnson, Teacher/Preacher Isaac Joemah, and Exhorter/Intercessor Joyce Mallory, these men and women of God co-labor for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of ministry, and for the edification of the Body of Christ (Ephesians 4:12).  While cognizant of the Historic St. Paul Church's rich history as the only Washington, DC church of the oldest incorporated African American denomination in the United States, our servant-leaders also press forward to achieve a present and future vision to engage the church with its current community demographic.  Committed to the Word of God, worship, and works of love, each servant-leader serves God by selfless service to others.  While headquartered in the nation's capital, the outreach of the church through its servants spans multiple continents and countries including Africa (Uganda and Kenya), and Asia (India).  For individual biographical information, please click on the individual image or the subpages of this webpage.
